EPOXIES

Epoxies have  a wide range of industrial applications, including metal coatings, use in electronic and electrical components, high tension electrical insulators, fibre-reinforced plastic materials, and structural adhesives in both industrial and aerospace manufacturing sectors.

BISMALEIMIDES

Bismaleimide resins are produced from the condensation reaction of a diamine with maleic anhydride. It processes similar to the epoxies (350 °F (177 °C) cure). After an elevated post-cure (450 °F (232 °C)), it will exhibit superior thermal and physical properties. These properties are influenced by a (400-450 °F (204-232 °C)) continuous use temperature and a glass transition of (500 °F (260 °C)).
This polymer is merged into composites as a prepreg matrix used in electrical printed circuit boards, structural aircraft – aerospace composites and other high-performance articles. It is also used as a coating material and as the matrix of glass-reinforced pipes, particularly in high temperature and chemical environments, such as oil & gas applications.

Chemical substances in which the hydrogen atom of the phenolic OH group is substituted by a cyanide group. The resulting product with an -OCN group is named a cyanate esterCyanate esters based on a bisphenol or novolac derivative are used in the production of resins. Used for high-temp printed circuit boards, specialty composites.


POLYETHERIMIDES (POLYIMIDES)

An amorphous, amber, transparent, high-performance thermoplastic. PEI/PI materials are used in the formation of gas membrane technologies.
